Recommendations for Rosh Ha Shana

While the Muslim population of Israel is celebrating Eid Al Fitter, the end of the holy month of fasting – Ramadan, the Jewish population will celebrate tonight the Hebrew New Year (Monday Eve., Sep 29th till Wednesday, Oct 1st). The weather forecast for the holiday is perfect and all you have to do is enjoy life and start the new year with pleasurable activities. Few recommendations for those of us spending their holiday in beautiful Israel:

Art Focus 2008 – Opened in Jerusalem and will go on till Oct. 23rd. The contemporary art event, titled this year: “Can art do more?”, Offers interesting answers to this question by sixty six artists from 25 countries world wide. This unique exhibition awaits you in the Industrial Qtr. of Talpiot in Jerusalem.

Horse rides in the Golan Heights – Kibbutz Merom Golan in the Golan Heights will offer special horse trips to the Syrian border, ATV tours and sculpting workshops for the whole family (Tues-Wed, Sep 30-Oct 1, Info at 04-6960267)

Kite flying in Appolonia beach national Park – create your own kite or take a kite decorate it with wishes for the new year and fly it in the sky of Appolonia National Park – Herzliya Beach (Wed, Oct 1st, Info at 09-9550929). 

Parties: We simply cannot cover all the parties that wil go down during the holiday, cause there will be thousands of them. But here are a few highlights:

*Lavontin 7 – a popular club in Tel Aviv will host the new party line TRAP (Electro PoP, Techno Dub and House Techno);

**Moksha Project will host it’s annual Sunset to Sunset outdoor festival (Sep 30 – Oct 1) with Mega Trance Music Artist such as Shpongel, Union Jack, Hallucinogen, Simon Posford, Andromeda and more…;

***Gays of all colors and shapes (plus all those who love to party in Gay parties) will celebrate at HaOman 17 club in Tel Aviv. Shirazi, the king of gay parties, will host his annual FFF New Year’s After Party from Tuesday morning (Sep 30, 10AM) till everyone runs out of cocaine.
