Shalom is Peace in Hebrew and the main greeting word in Israel. Arabs also greet each other with Salam Aleikoom – Peace on You. This Shalom Israel Page is where I’ll try and give you a different taste of Israel. It may be a video, a photo or a short clip from an Israeli film. Travel guides – no matter how personal – can never truly describe a country or a culture. Even a visit is not enough to really understand the nature of a land or a nation. All I can do is send a few hints your way and hopefully get your attention to this marvelous place called Israel.

Beautiful Israel

Take a look at this wonderful photo clip presenting Israel with dramatic colors and tones of charisma. Like any 60 year old, Israel “needs” some make up (not to mention more drastic masseurs…) and thus the photographer, Gilad Benari, added some (or a lot) of Photoshop work. The outcome is moving and very lovely to watch, so I’ll excuse the cosmetic changes this one time and say – A Beauty Indeed.
