Sea Mosque over looking a beautiful Jaffa Beach
Isragirl Presents : Jaffa Mosque, Photo by Chanan Getraide ©
Israel has some beautiful Mosques, the famous ones are located in Jerusalem and Acre but you will find mosques all over Israel, in Jaffa, Haifa, Nazareth, in the Galilee and in the Negev… Mosques are usually seen from a far, they have a high tower (used in modern days for hanging speakers so everyone can listen to the prayer) and green lights (during night). This small Mosque called Ja’ama’a El-Bahr sits peacefully at the north end of Jaffa, right where Tel Aviv meets Jaffa on the beach. The mosque itself is not special in any touristic way, but just by being there, it reminds us that there is room for all convictions and that tolerance is the only way for humanity to survive.
The photo was taken by Mr. Chanan Getraide, a photographer from Kibbutz Shiller. I strongly recommend a visit to his website (Click on the photo and you will get there), he has landscape and urban photos, industrial and environmental photos, portraits and special moments photos – All from Israel of course. Mr Getraide is a brilliant photographer and you can order his prints in different sizes through the website.
Imagine no religion, no conflicts, no wars, Imagine that…
