Muslims, Christians and Jews sing together on one stage – Music fans can enjoy a great festival and support a peaceful agenda

The Gilboa Mountain in north-eastern Israel is known for its neutral beauty, unique Iris flowers (that grow only there and are called Gilboa Iris) and for the great battle in which King Saul found his death. Over looking Kharod Vally, Beit Shean and Jeezrael Vally, the Gilboa also offers great panoramic view of agricultural Israel and modern life set in biblical vistas. This week, starting Aug 26, the Gilboa will host a rare assembly of Arab (Christian and Muslim) and Jewish musicians in one special festival – Oh yes and also one English dude you might have heard of – Joe Cocker.

Tuesday, Aug 26 Main Events: Joe Cocker at the Gilboa Amphitheater (Ma’ayan Kharod, at 9pm); At the village of Taybe food and artists market from 4pm, Efrat Gosh will perform at 6pm and Kamal Suliman at 7pm; Renana Raz dance company will perform at the community culture center.
Wednesday, Aug 27 Main Events: Gilboa Amphitheater starting 9pm – David Broza with Yair Dellal and Ibrahim Idd, Mira Awad and Kobi Aflalo, HaDag Nakhash (Fish Snake) with D.A.M., Amir Lev and George Sama’an. Several vocal choirs singing in Arabic and Hebrew will perform at the community culture center from 5.30pm; And at the village of Taybe Yirmi Kaplan will rock the crowed from 6pm and Zuhir Phransis will perform starting 7pm.
Thursday, Aug 28 Main Events: Bicycles ride starting at 7am (three different levels – begginers 12 km, intermediate 30 km and extreem 30 km), Gilboa Amphitheater – The three Divas – a special concert honnering Umm Kalthoum, Fairouz and Layla Morrad, with Zehava Ben, Sarit Hadad, Lubna Salma, Riham Khamadi and two orchestras: from Nazareth and Ra’anana. In the village of Taybe – Dana Burger at 6pm and Wissam Khabib at 7pm.
