Gosh, its full on summer here in Israel, the beaches are packed, the night life is hot and steamy and the need to do, and go, and see, and dance, and drink, and watch, and enjoy and, and, and… Summer is somehow pressing us all to get out of our houses and enjoy life.

If getting off your ars (or ass…) and out of the house brought you some how to Israel and you are spending your days making most out of the sun but still doing other things, here are a few art exhibitions on display at galleries and museums, that you may find interesting or at least a fun air-condition break from the beach / must see holy places

At the Ramat Gaan Museum of Israeli Art you can take a look at Meal, a paper work installation by Nama Aronson, Fighters, by Shuy Alony, And the Tool that hasn’t been rested, by Dubi Kadmon and Sole Tone Like America, by Eldad Refaeli and Ygal Sarena. (Address: 146 Abba Hilel Silver St., Ramat Gaan).

Neta Harari has a new exhibition of oil paintings at the Alon Segev Gallery. Check out her figurative paintings she is not afraid to share her nightmares with the spectator. (Address: 23 Shaul HaMelekh St. Tel Aviv, Until July 25)

An exhibition on 45 Florentine Gallery is dedicated to the leopard- the symbolic and the abstract, the figurative and the documentary…Its called waking the Leopard and while in Florentine Neighborhood its worth a visit. (Address: 45 Florentine St. Tel Aviv, Until July 29).

Kikar HaMedina is a new group exhibition that will force you to confront the business aspect of the art world. The show is “located” in an art dealer’s show room and it dares to put a spotlight on the economy of art, the politics of the art and its boundaries and the social force of art as a brand. The exhibition is divided into two spaces, one looks and operates as a gallery and the other is the store room of the gallery, still with the boxes and usual mess, now allowing some space for installations scattered around the usually-out-of-reach-to-the-audience area. (Ever Art Gallery, 8 Ha BeIyar St. – HaMedina Sqr. Tel Aviv, Until July 18).

Art escapism in the hot summer – four art exhibitions for you to check out this July….
