Dance, Music and Theater – A Celebration of Performing Arts

Usually when travelling people feel almost obligated to focus on local art and culture and easily pass over opportunities to enjoy artists from around the world who happen to perform in the country they are touring. This should not be the case if you are in Israel and Israel’s Festival is going on. This is the Mega-Culture-Event of the country and it offers a special atmosphere that only Jerusalem can provide. Although featuring many performers from abroad, the festival is a celebration of Israeli performing arts and a celebration of Jerusalem which hosts the festival.
The Festival takes place annually for a few weeks in the spring. Throughout the festival, audiences are able to enjoy performances by artists from all over the world, as well as premieres of Israeli works and tributes to leading Israeli artists. The public can also attend a large selection of free performances, including street theatre, children’s shows and a nightly jazz club.

Theater, Dance and Music of all kinds, over a thousand performers and artists in over a hundred shows, mostly in Jerusalem – at the city’s most beautiful time of the year.
Take the time to examine the program and make sure you don’t overlook a unique opportunity to see someone you’ve always wanted to see and somehow never got the chance to. The festival is extremely popular and in some cases tickets are hard to come by.
