All (or most)Israeli movies will have English subtitles embedded in them, so an English speaking tourist can enjoy the screening and participate in this wonderful yearly celebration of documentary film making.
Ten documentary films from all over the world shell participate in the international competition and the audience will have an opportunity to meet with some of the directors who will be visiting the festival and will hold conversations with the audience following the screening of their movies. In addition to the competing films the festival will offer special documentaries from around the world, some of tham focus on art and music.
Isragirl Recommends: Check out the festival’s web site and seriously consider attending at least one screening. The Israeli films participating each year are usually fascinating and offer a new perspective of Israeli and regional events or controversial issues from the past and the present. Some films present a unique spotlight on small communities and others are more personal and put forward intimate stories of families or even a single individuals….
All in all, some 80 documentary films will participate in the festival so selection is wide and there is something interesting for every one.
